Opportunity to execute and improve in the following areas:

  • Provide leadership and execution of month/quarter/year-end close process.
  • Review expenses vs budget, accruals, review automated journal entries for accuracy and prepare additional journal entries as needed
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Coordinate and prepare annual budgets. Review and explain monthly variances
  • Management and support of Bi-Weekly Payroll Processing
  • Inventory and fixed asset accounting and reporting
  • Supervision of a Finance Specialist, AP/PO Support, Capital, Petty Cash)
  • Standard Costing Support
  • Assists in providing a financial evaluation of major savings and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain effective governance, SOX, and internal control environment
  • Deliver financial training for plant management, team leaders, and technicians

Knowledge, Education, and Skills needed to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field
  • 4+ Year of prior Accounting work experience with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing /supply chain or logistics environment
  • Prior experience with leading staff/project teams
  • Very strong proven understanding of Microsoft Excel

Knowledge, Education, and Skills (Continued)

  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional areas in a teamwork environment
  • CPA or Post-Graduate preferred
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP system experience preferred
  • Exposure in payroll processing Kronos preferred
  • Experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Google Sheets / Suite knowledge
