Payroll and Benefits Manager  

Our client’s mission is to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  To support this mission we are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to manage payroll and benefits for approximately 100 employees, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and exceptional employee support. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering a supportive workplace in a flexible and balanced environment.

The Payroll and Benefits Manager is an individual contributor position that oversees the payroll process, benefits administration, and compliance with applicable regulations. You will play a key role in streamlining payroll operations, educating employees on benefits options, and contributing to organizational goals, all while enjoying a flexible, supportive work environment. You will be rewarded with a flexible work environment and competitive pay.  You also have the opportunity to earn up to 4 weeks of PTO  by your 3rd anniversary.   

Key Responsibilities 

 

Payroll Management: 

  • Process a biweekly payroll on schedule, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws and policies. 
  • Working with the ADP  payroll platform you will resolve discrepancies, and provide responsive employee support for payroll-related inquiries. 
  • Collaborate with the finance team on reconciliations and reporting.

Benefits Administration: 

  • Manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. 
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, provide education on benefits options, and assist with claims or issues. 
  • Partner with benefits providers to address coverage changes, ensure compliance, and evaluate plan options. 

Compliance and Reporting: 

  • Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, and benefits regulations. 
  • Prepare compliance reports and documentation, including year-end tax forms and audits. 
  • Stay current on legal and regulatory changes affecting payroll and benefits administration. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience. 
  • Exposure to working with ADP or other payroll systems and strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive information.
