Assistant Controller – Overland Park, KS  

Our client is a burgeoning manufacturing company with a revenue of over $200 million last year, experiencing rapid expansion with annual growth rates surpassing 30%. In line with their strategic plans, they are seeking a dynamic Assistant Controller with an emphasis on consolidated reporting of nine manufacturing facilities. This role is critical in shaping the financial future of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reports. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the consolidation of financial reports across nine manufacturing facilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Manage cash flow and coordinate closely with banking partners to ensure compliance with all financial covenants. 
  • Foster proactive engagements with external auditors to oversee the annual audit and specific financial projects. 
  • Champion and manage financial processes and changes that support the organization’s rapid growth. 

Background and Experience 

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in accounting, including significant exposure in a public accounting environment. 
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing or similar industries. 
  • CPA certification is required. 
  • Experienced in financial consolidation and skilled in managing complex general ledger systems. 
  • Exceptional relationship management abilities, with exposure in handling dealings with audit firms. 
  • Visionary financial insight, extending beyond traditional accounting to influence strategic decision-making.
