Credit Services Manager

A world leader in the manufacturing of specialty automotive parts has engaged GSB Search Associates to
identify a Credit Services Manager for the North American Operations, located in Kansas City, Missouri.
This is a critical position for a multi-location business operation with over $350 million in annual
revenue.

management, client relations, and team leadership? This role is responsible for the management of the
credit, collections, and account management functions for the North American group, as well as the
development and implementation of credit policies and procedures to conform to changes in the
industry.

Opportunity to Make a Difference

You will have the opportunity to execute and improve in the following areas:
• Manage the credit function to minimize bad debt while maximizing revenues for the
company
• Monitor and manage the company’s risk by monitoring the status of open accounts,
maintaining contact with risky accounts
• Participate in any bankruptcy activity on behalf of the company, and manage the
relationship with 3rd party collection agencies
• Financial and management reporting concerning accounts receivables, risky accounts, etc
• Maintain knowledge of customer base, industry trends, and new practices in the credit
management field
• Development of credit management process to ensure quality, accuracy, and the use of best
industry practices
• Supervision of assistant credit managers, supervisors, and credit services staff
• Advise the Controller of any operating problems or issues which significantly impact the
company
• Participate in regular credit group meetings to stay informed on delinquent accounts and
industry trends
• Will interact with all levels of personnel within the company, as well as vendors and
customers

What We Are Looking For

Education and experience typically found in the person who can perform at a high level in this
position would include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Credit/Accounting related field
• Eight years of credit management experience with 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Skilled in negotiating and persuading clients to pay and follow credit guidelines.
• Ability to monitor and manage all payments and debts
• Ability to coach and lead the team to meet or exceed goals and objectives
• Willing and able to travel as needed both domestically and internationally (10% or less)
• Knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry, a plus
• Proficient to Advanced Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, D365 a plus)
