Opportunity at a Glance
Due to a recent promotion and extraordinary growth, our client needs to add a strong accounting professional to the team. You will play a key role in supporting the growth of the organization. Make a critical impact by leading the financial close process and building management reports with supporting analysis. This position will report to and be mentored by the current Vice President of Finance who previously held this position. Opportunity to execute and improve in the following areas:
• Prepare the monthly financial statements including supporting schedules and management reports. Analyze actual costs to budget and address variances with staff.
• Continue developing the infrastructure to compile, analyze and disseminate operating metric dashboards to drive informed management of the business.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budgets and periodic financial re-forecasts. Work with management to address any variances in established budgetary and financial goals and objectives including staffing, capital expenditures, productivity, etc.
• Directly manage A/P and A/R to ensure accurate and timely disbursements and cash collections.
• Maintain the General Ledger Chart of Accounts and financial reporting modules in the QuickBooks accounting system, which will be converted in the next 12-24 months to a state-of-the-art, cloud-based ERP system.
• Responsible for management of the Fishbowl Inventory Management System, which will also be converted in the next 12-24 months to a state-of-the-art, cloud-based ERP system.
• Play a significant role in the conversion to a new cloud-based ERP system.
• Prepare and submit bank reporting requirements; primarily borrowing base certificate
• Work with the independent auditors in the completion of the annual tax return and reviewed financial statements and the development and maintenance of the systems of internal accounting controls. Assist in the development of financial policies where appropriate.
• May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime, and weekends if needed.
• Interact with customers in order processing and problem resolution.

Knowledge, Education, and Skills Needed to be Successful:
• Minimum 3 years progressive accounting, finance, budgeting, and financial reporting experience is required; 5 years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience required.
• Public accounting experience is highly desired.
• Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
• Career-motivated professional who is self-confident, energetic, and possesses a strong work ethic.
• Strong general ledger, accounting, reporting, working capital management, and banking knowledge base.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Self-starter, who can work independently without daily direction, is results and detail-oriented, and performs to a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to relate and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
• Advanced skillset in excel, accrual accounting policies, and systems management.
• Effective at evaluating and streamlining processes to drive improved accuracy and efficiency.
